A Generous Advent: Books to Cherish/Give as a Countdown to Christmas

November 21, 2018

Advent means in Latin, to come or arrival.

Family traditions are something that are well-remembered by us even as we are grown. Now as parents we decide for our own families what kind of traditions and memories we want to give our children.

One of those traditions and family habits I want to instill into my own children is to stay rooted in the true meaning of Christmas. I want to weave into them a feeling of familiarity with some beloved books that can be read generation after generation.

Are you looking for new devotionals, picture books, or other read-alouds for Advent? Here is a small collection to browse and enjoy!

where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
